Energy performance for ice-makers

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is consulting on an exposure draft determination introducing minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) for commercial ice-makers.

The exposure draft determination and accompanying explanatory statement can be viewed at (Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (GEMS) determination for commercial ice-makers – Climate (dcceew.gov.au)). The Decision Regulation Impact Statement is also provided on the Consultation Hub for your information.

This is an Australian Government consultation under the Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) program. Under the E3 program, Australia and New Zealand regulate the energy efficiency of products in their respective countries. The regulations cover products for home, commercial and industrial use. More information about the Equipment Energy Efficiency (E3) program can be found on the Energy Rating website.

Comments and submissions on the exposure draft determination and explanatory statement can be submitted through Consultation Hub. Submissions close on 17 September 2024.
