The peak body for Australia’s energy management sector, the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) has launched the consultation for the industry roadmap for heat pump hot water systems.
Survey contributions from industry participants will be used to support industry and government to develop a practical roadmap that ensures that these systems are deployed as part of an affordable and reliable transition to net zero emissions, particularly in residential settings.
Assuming a moderate growth, heat pump systems could comprise around 40 percent of the market by 2036.
The survey will close on 26 January 2024. AREMA will be preparing a submission, and members’ views are being sought.
